Dark Princess Cajun Hibiscus

Cajun Hibiscus varieties from Dupont Nursery (often called Cajun Color) are known for their massive, showy, dinner-plate-sized blooms (often 6–9+ inches), vibrant Technicolor patterns, glossy dark green foliage, and prolific blooming from spring through fall in warm climates.

They thrive in full sun, well-drained soil, consistent moisture (but not waterlogged), and regular feeding. Great for containers, patios, or tropical landscapes in zones 9–11 (or as annuals/houseplants elsewhere). Flowers typically last a day but plants produce them nonstop.

Light: Full sun (6+ hours) for best blooming.

Water: Keep soil evenly moist; water deeply when top inch dries. Avoid standing water.

Soil: Well-draining, fertile mix (add perlite/bark if needed).

Fertilizer: Heavy feeder—use a balanced or bloom-boosting fertilizer regularly during growing season.

Zones: 9–11 outdoors (bring indoors or treat as annual in cooler areas). Protect from frost.
