About Us

Cane Row Nursery opened in March 2022 in Broussard, on land the owner’s great-grandfather bought in 1939. We started as a small retail yard on three-quarters of an acre and somehow talked ourselves into a grow facility in 2024.

We grow and stock plants that actually live here: citrus, camellias, crape myrtles, roses, and whatever else is thriving in the yard that week. We also sell the stuff your HOA didn’t ask for: mooning garden gnomes, alien welcome signs, a flock of concrete geese. If you came for a satsuma and left with a pelican, that’s on us.

The land has been in the family a long time. The crew is just people who like plants and this kind of work. Not all of us are related. The cats are.

Pumpkin started in January 2025 as official greeter. Patch followed. They do not ring up customers. They do walk the benches like they own them.

Most of what we sell is pickup. A few plants ship. Hours and the map are on our Visit Us page.

Come walk around. The gnomes don’t bite. The cats might ignore you.
