Banana Magnolia

Availability: Available for pickup at our Broussard garden center.

This is the banana magnolia your grandma had. People walk up to it and say that before they say anything else!

Creamy blooms that smell like banana. Evergreen shrub, old south Louisiana plant, not a big saucer magnolia. It belongs by the porch or along the house.

🌎 Zones: 8–10.
☀️ Sunlight: Morning sun or light afternoon shade. Hot west walls are rough on it.
💧 Soil & Care: Well-drained soil. Water while it’s settling in. Don’t plant it in a bog.
🌸 Blooms:
– Cream to yellow
– Banana scent
– Spring, with more through the warm months
