LSU Tiger Fig Tree

Availability: Available for pickup at our Broussard garden center.

Figs are a South Louisiana backyard tradition. Plant in full sun in soil that drains, water regularly while the tree gets settled, and mulch the shallow roots. Figs fruit in summer and need little pruning.

Come see it at Cane Row Nursery, 1500 S Bernard Rd in Broussard. Our staff is happy to help you pick the right spot for it in your South Louisiana yard.

Developed through Louisiana State University's acclaimed breeding initiative, the LSU Tiger Fig represents a distinguished cultivar worthy of its iconic namesake. This variety exemplifies the rigorous selection standards applied by the university's horticulture program, making it a noteworthy choice for fig enthusiasts seeking proven performance and heritage genetics.
