Mammy croton has narrow, twisted leaves in deep green, red, and yellow. The plant stays tighter than the big-leaf crotons. Color needs bright light. A freeze will burn it, so keep it as a houseplant or porch plant here.
Water when the top inch of mix is dry. Do not leave it sitting in a saucer of water. Leaf drop usually means it dried out or sat in a draft.
🌎 Zones: 10–11 outdoors; indoor or porch plant here. ☀️ Sunlight: Bright light to morning sun. 💧 Soil & Care: Well-drained potting mix. Water when the top inch is dry. Bring it in before a freeze. 🌿 Habit: Twisted, colorful foliage. Compact. Tender in cold.
