This striking evergreen succulent thrives in USDA zones 5-10 and reaches 3-4 feet tall with a 2-3 foot spread. Native to the southwestern United States and northern Mexico, Hesperaloe parviflora displays distinctive arching, narrow foliage arranged in elegant rosettes. From late spring through summer, tall spikes emerge bearing tubular red or coral flowers that reliably attract hummingbirds and butterflies. Exceptionally drought-tolerant and low-maintenance, it demands full sun and well-drained soil, making it an excellent choice for xeriscaping and adding architectural vertical elements to any landscape design.
