Couldn't load pickup availability
The Italian Honey Fig (Lattarula) is one of the most dependable fig trees you can grow. While a lot of figs swing between great and disappointing depending on the season, this one is known for consistent production and smooth, honey-sweet flavor.
If you want a fig tree that produces without a bunch of guesswork, this is one of the safest bets out there.

- Buyer responsible for following care instructions upon arrival. No refunds for post-delivery issues related to normal transit stress or care.
🌿 Fig-Specific Note on Leaf Rust 🌿
Fig rust (small orange-brown spots on leaves) is a very common fungal issue on fig trees, especially in humid Southern climates like ours in Louisiana. It primarily affects the leaves, is not deadly to the tree, and does not impact fruit production long-term.
New leaves typically emerge healthy after removing affected ones. We inspect plants before shipping, but minor rust can develop or become more visible in transit. It is easily managed with good care (remove spotted leaves, improve airflow, avoid overhead watering).

What Makes Lattarula Different
Most people are used to darker figs with a stronger “berry” flavor.
Lattarula goes a different direction:
• Light green to yellow skin when ripe
• Amber-colored flesh
• Mild, clean, honey-like sweetness
• Less acidic and more approachable flavor
This is the kind of fig people keep eating fresh — not just turning into jam.
⸻
Strong Producer — Even for Beginners
This isn’t a finicky collector variety.
• Known for reliable fruit set
• Produces a solid summer crop
• Can start producing at a young age
• Performs well in a wide range of climates
If you’ve struggled with figs before, this is one that gives you a better shot at success.
⸻
Great for In-Ground or Containers
You’re not locked into planting it in the ground.
• Works well in large pots or containers
• Easy to manage size with pruning
• Ideal for patios, small yards, or full landscapes
• Handles heat well once established
Container growers on Etsy are a big chunk of buyers — this checks that box.
⸻
Cold Hardy & Forgiving
Compared to many fruit trees, figs are resilient — and Lattarula is one of the tougher ones.
• Tolerates colder temperatures better than many figs
• Can recover from light freeze damage
• Reliable year after year once established
